One Step at a Time
See the process of how we turn your dream into reality
Step 1:
Visit our showroom at 355 Farmington Ave in Plainville, CT to discuss your project. While here, explore our extensive selection of Quartz and Natural Stones. For smaller projects browse through our well organized remnant selection. Need multiple slabs for a larger project? We can guide you through that as well. Cabinet door styles and colors? Those are in the showroom too. Our expert team is here to help you find the ideal materials and finishes to bring your vision to life.
(Be sure to say hi to Sophie)
Step 2:
Once you’ve made your selection, we promptly place an order for a slab of your chosen material from one of our trusted distributers. Need to look further? We can provide information to all the natural stone / quartz distributors we use. No hidden secrets here. People may not realize that you can browse through everything that is available in the state of Connecticut at these distributors, you DO NOT need to choose from any stone fabricator’s in house selection. Rosania Stone Designs will inform you of the closest distributor in your area, where you can browse their selection of full slabs. Once you find one you like, they will send us the exact slab you chose. No more guessing what your stone will look like. This slab is then delivered directly to our workshop, labeled with your job name, and stored until you are ready for the project to begin.
Step 3:
After the stone arrives at our facility, our highly skilled craftsman will visit your home for final measurements. Countertops are measured using the tried and true stick template method, no lasers here. Take all the guess work out and see the design of your tops right in front of your eyes. We have found this process works best over the years. Laser templating is great to save time, but that’s about it, there is NO benefit to the homeowner. Only the shop benefits by saving time and having machines create your new, expensive countertops.
Stick templates can be laid directly on your slabs to show you exactly how each area of your new tops will look, no surprises or excuses.
If you’re doing cabinets, our in house designer will visit your home to take measurements and discuss your vision. Once this is complete, all design will be done through our state of the art 20/20 design program back at our showroom.
Step 4:
After the stick template is carefully and meticulously created, we will bring it back to our in house fabrication facility. Your new countertops will be cut exactly to what was designed in your home. Our experienced team will help keep grain flow, seam alignment, and all the little details as perfect as humanly possible. Machines just can’t do that. Believe us, we’ve seen it.
Step 5:
The raw cut stone is then carefully transferred to the finishing area. Here we do all cutouts, shaping, and edging by hand. Once this is complete, it is moved to the polishing area. Our 8 step polishing process ensures the highest of quality. This may take longer, but it’s worth it. Machine polishing will leave lines throughout your edging. Hand polishing will ensure a mirror finish, checked by humans between every step.
Step 6:
Our highly skilled installation team return to your home with your brand new countertops. This is where your vision comes to fruition. A few hours in your home delivers a completely new look of beautiful new countertops. Once installation of the counters are complete, our install team will attach your brand new sink and do a free courtesy sealing of all natural stones. Have questions after that? Call our showroom, our staff is highly experienced, and have installed thousands of kitchens themselves. We can advise you how to properly care for your new tops or answer any questions you may have.
